Comrades, I understand why you want to bring our troops home from Brazil. We are taking heavy casualties and making little progress. The war in Brazil has devolved into little more than continuous killing of Brazilian troops by Russian troops and constant killing of Russian troops by Brazilian troops. Many of my advisors have drawn comparisons to the Vietnam War that the Americans lost so many brave young men to during the 1960's. But I must assure you, our reasons for being in Brazil are important. Brazil is in possession of several pieces of Russian technology including shoulder-launched surface to air missiles, attack helicopters, and most importantly, components of the Sukhoi PAK-FA stealth fighter. Our other reason for being in Brazil, is to provide a larger base in the western hemisphere for us, and our comrades in the European Union, to be able to defend ourselves from in the event that American politicians that wish to harm our nations come to power. In order to accomplish our goals sooner and hopefully with less Russian casualties, bombing raids, the likes of which have not been seen since the Vietnam War, possibly even the Second World War, shall be launched against areas of Brazil still under Brazilian control. In addition, 200,000 more troops will be deployed to Brazil immediatley, consisting of Marines, Naval Spetsnaz, VDV, and troops from the elite 2nd Guards Motor Rifle Division. I wish to see this war ended as quickly as the rest of you do. I also wish to see a Russian victory. We must understand to achieve a victory, we must lose some soldiers. The Russian military will do their best to ensure this is not a repeat of our war in Afghanistan or the American war in Vietnam. For all of you with sons, daughters, husbands, wives, or any other family members serving in Brazil, I can not promise they will come home alive. For all of you soldiers still in Russia and our occupied territories, I can not promise you will not be sent to fight and possibly die in Brazil. I am only able to promise that our soldiers will try their best to fight their way out of the Brazilian jungles. Our military has been undergoing jungle warfare training and studying what went well for the Americans in Vietnam and have full confidence they will be able to clear the jungle and move on to take and hold the cities. All I am able to say to our troops about to deploy to Brazil, and our troops currently in Brazil, holding the line along the Amazon River, is good luck.

Soon after the Vietnam deal goes through, the eastern asian communist nations of Laos and Cambodia also apply for autonomous district hood within the PRC. The PRC sends diplomats to Laos first to work out a deal.
