Back on topic, I got my degree in applied electronics and spent around 15 years on the bench. Before that I was a pipe welder with Brown & Root working on refineries and building power plants, so I guess I'm pretty familiar with construction.

I am now an estimator with a commercial security intigrator. I meet with security people, CFO's and CEO's and tell them what they need to do get their buildings secure. Basicly I work with access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance equipment.

Kinda a jack of all trades and a master of none. :/

Now that you mention it, my work has been responsible for catching more than a few ner-the-wells. Always feels good to get that call saying "that video system you sold me already caught someone jumping a fence and trying to steal my boat."
