As the title says, the blogs are up. Let us know if you have any issues.

Be aware that anyone on your friends list for this forum can currently see your blog if you use the default settings. We are working on this!

Be sure to set your privacy settings on your blogs using your blog control panel before you start telling people about that dick-girl you secretly love.

PS: Our blog will be used to show you how to do things and answer blog related questions, use code, and so on.

I can honestly say these blogs are pretty cool. I can think of nothing we can't do on them that you can do elsewhere.

I can think of a lot of things that other blog sites have that you don't want (like ads and bugs) that we don't have.

I'm really rather pleased with this little program.

So... Your privacy settings.

For starters, we have set it up globally such that only members of this community can see blogs at all. This means no googlebots, no spyders, no search engine listings. Only the people who are part of this community can see your blogs.

That's mandatory, and if some of you don't like that we regret that. None the less we're not going to have your shit out there on the Internet for potentially harmful entities to browse.

They must have an account that is verified as part of this community in order to see your blog.

Within this rule, you can also set up who can and can't see your blog. If you don't want Goonwhore to see your blog, you can keep her out. If you don't want us to see your blog, you can keep us out. If you want to keep everyone out but one or two people, you can do that too.

But as a minimum, the people viewing your blog must have a valid account on this site.

Just a head's up.

Holy shit, guys. If I had known how awesome these blogs were, we'd have had them a long time ago. These are truly awesome. Fully customizable, totally secure, no spam, no privacy issues, very few bugs and incredibly easy to use!

These are the best blogs I've ever used first-hand. This is pretty awesome. If you guys decide to use these, I think you're going to be pretty pleased.

These are pretty damned cool after all!

Another thing to note guys, is that anyone who is on your friends list here on the boards can view your blog unless you change those settings.

I'm not sure how to do that, yet.

Be aware of it, though until we figure out how to manage a robust friends list for the forum but not allow God and everyone access to your individual blogs.

Well, since there's nobody on your friend list, only you and your mother can see your blog entires, Ala.

As for me, I've never done any blogs, but these look cool. I might write an entry later.

I cleared my friends list while screwing around with it. Crash, Nagu, Goro, and Disturbed. I'll get it put back together.

I was trying to test out some permissions and cleared it.

I think we need a way to be able to befriend everyone we want on the boards without granting everyone access to our blogs.

I mean no offense, but I'm sure many on here feel that although someone is a "pal" and is on their "friends list" here, that doesn't mean they want them mucking about in their blog necessarily.

Hopefully The Gremlins will take care of this for us.

I kind of liked the sample Goonwhore Blog. I mean not liked it as in liked it, but liked the versatility it showed.

We checked and apparently right now if you have someone listed on your friends list for the boards, and you also have this group set to view your blog (which is the default and strictest control), that's that.

There doesn't appear to be a way to be friends with someone on the boards and not let them have access to your blog currently.

There is a new update coming out shortly, however.

For now, you guys can do one of two things. We know you don't want to be anti-social by kicking people off your friends list; people you like but that you don't want to realize you have a fetish for sucking off members of the same gender.

You can:

A) Create a secondary account for private blogging that you only share with select people.

B) Kick people off your friends list that you don't want to see your blog.

Hopefully the next upgrade will have a better system. For now this is one of the limitations of the program.
