View Full Version : Skyrim
How dare you intellectual turds not have a Skyrim thread yet.
I heard alchemy is a bunch better in this version of the game. You guys have any news on that?

I fell out of the loop for a while there--lost my interest in Skyrim. Now I'm actually kinda excited for it. Just pre-ordered my copy today.
I'm worried about it not being very good, though.
Oblivion, when I first played it, was one of the most amazing games I had ever played up until that point. That's what made it so jaw-dropping to me; I'd never played anything like it before.
Now that Skyrim is coming out, it almost looks too much like Oblivion to be jaw-droppingly awesome. I know it will be really good, but I just don't think it will be nearly as amazing to me as Oblivion once was.

After looking all around the UESP Wiki, I've found quite a few interesting things that are actually pretty awesome. Followers, jobs, slow-motion decapitations, etc.
In Skyrim the player will have the option of marrying an NPC, regardless of race or gender. In order to marry an NPC you must raise their disposition towards you and then wear a special amulet that signifies that you wish to marry them. If the player owns a property, his or her spouse will move in with them, and will provide a variety of benefits.

Feels very much like Morrowind, which is a good thing. The only faults I've had so far is that I wish the terrain was more varied like Oblivion was, even though it is very beautiful.
