[The Gremlins]

I've spent most of the evening downloading icons for threads (if you try to reply to this you'll see some of them).

The problem is we have like 200+ of these bastards and we're not sure what to do about it.

On SA they break them down - one can only use certain icons in certain forums. Here though, we're not doing that kind of stuff to the boards (it nulls our support agreement and is a lot of work). We're double-checking on that, but we think that's going to be the case.

We have some choices to make then. This would be the first one:

How many icons do you all think is reasonable to have an option of? In order to test this, click to post a reply and look at the amount we have now and the space it comes up in. We don't want the place looking all cluttered like we're a bunch of storage whores. How many options do you guys think is a good amount here?

Actually, as of right now it doesn't really look that bad. Yeah there are a bunch of them, but they aren't cluttered at all. I think what you have now is fine.

The rows are 7 across, so right now we have the ability to have up to 49 then.

We'll need to make some choices.

I think the way it is now is fine. 49 would be a little many, but I suppose we could just add new ones as needed.

I think "Lifestyle" "GOON MEET" and "falconry" may see little to no use here. that said, the icons you have are the base icons and should do fine. SA did fine without 200 icons for a long time.
