I'm pretty nervous about the upcoming season. I thought it was absolute insanity to fire Shanahan. I also felt the only suitable replacements were Cowher (who I don't trust for the long haul) or Schottenheimer, who is for some reason one of the most under-rated coaches in the history of sports.

I was okay with Spagnuolo as an option too, since he had built such a masterful defense.

McDaniel was not on my "love list" even though I knew he'd be on everyone else's. I am not an offense oriented kind of football fan.

Now he's come in and I like a lot of the moves he's made. Nolan is back, we have a great Tight Ends coach, McDaniel is obviously good at offense... But it has been slightly clumsy at times. This last week or two with Cutler being one example.

It'll be a significant season for us, and I'll be watching to see what comes of this.

This could be the best of times. It could also be the worst of times.

I'm very anxious, somewhat nervous, but also cautiously optimistic about next season.

I'll definitely be paying close attention though.

I'm hoping the Bears can pull it together, but it's definitely going to take some work. Their defense has been going down hill, if you watch when they tackle and miss, it's almost always because they were spending more time trying to strip the ball or cause fumble than just getting the player to the ground.

And the offense is a whole other story. Their QB(s) are off and on, but even when they're on they aren't spectacular. Even so the line needs to be strengthened, it's hard for even a great QB to do well when they aren't given the time they need to throw the ball. Despite all the improvements they need I will still be rooting for them this year. Oh...and the Denver Broncos too.

So, since football season is in full swing, perhaps it's time to bump this thread a bit.

So basically, I'm a Cardinals fan. Laugh all you want, but we're doing pretty well this season. On the road at least. At home we kind of drop the ball (no pun intended).

I mostly watch the Canadian Football League. The season is pretty much over when the NFL is just a couple months into starting. Basically the playoffs are done this week and next week is the championship game.

What teams are playing? Canadian Football has always interested me.

On Sunday we have Saskatchewan and Calgary playing for the western conference championship. I'm cheering for Saskatchewan. In the eastern conference I know Montreal is playing but I don't know who is against them. Hopefully Saskatchewan can break their curse of only winning the championship every 20 or so years this year, last time they won was in 2007.

Anyway, the horns played their hearts out tonight in Pasadena. Kudos to them, but in the end it wasn't enough with a freshman quarterback. Who knows what couldve happened with colt mccoy in there. But my hat is tipped to the Tide. They played well. That game wasn't a terribly great one but it had its moments. Looking forward to next season and what kind of performance we'll see from gilbert, mccoy's successor.

Big 12 got boned in bowl games this year.
Except OU, but I hate that state.

Next year for KU is going to suck, I think Turner Gill will get some better recruits in, but with North and South being eliminated we have to play Texas and OU now.

But for right now in the Big 12 all you have now is some final four contenders.

No, actually. There was some rational reason for it I don't remember what the hell it was. Back on regular schedule. Though we play football fairly well, we're more known for our theatre company and band. I'm not in the plays or musicals, but I do help construct the sets, props, etc.

My school lost their first two games, our first we should of won. And the second was against one of our two rivals who has been like the defending state-champ for like 6 years until last year when they choked.

Since then we have won six games straight, all of them in blow-out fashion (scored at least 40 each game, defense has not allowed more than 24.) Last week we clenched a 6A playoff berth we conclude the regular season this week with Wichita Heights, the defending state champions that have kicked our ass since forever. But we have a really good team this year so it should be an exciting game.

In other news this dude is making my future school the laughing stock of the nation.
