Is it any surprise though? I mean, really. So there were elections, the current president announces his victory over the opposition, people race to the streets, recount goes in favour of the unpopular victor, Ayatollah reaffirms the validity of the recount... Apart from the violence in the demonstrations that all parts of the world sees, where's the tragedy?

If it was Yemen, they would have voted with their rifles. In Egypt, the authorities would actually violently prevent people from voting and announce blatantly fabricated results. Iran's not doing too bad, compared to its neighbors.
