Well I just felt like sharing because girl troubles are something I often talk about here so I was sharing about a thing with a girl that went well. But idk it was just a good day with her for once and not just in that way so I wanted to tell someone since my friends don't know :) but yeah, probably was unnecessary but it was a good day with her and I am glad for that.

Plus this girl is pretty much amazing. Anyway, time for school.

I was playing an amazing Amazon for the past couple of weeks, focusing on Magic Arrow so she could wipe the field with never-missing and never-ending ammo that costs nothing. Made it all the way to Act IV, decided to give my computer more space, and ended up deleting all my game saves from the default space cleanup settings.

Now I'm playing a Paladin, same as back when I was in 8th/9th grade, and I'm doing even better. Melee distance means I'm slightly more potion-reliant, but awesome luck with equipment means I've managed to completely max out my resistances - and now that I'm in Act IV, I've managed to find armor that boosts my regular defenses as well as my elemental ones!

I demo'd a Line 6 at my local guitar store and it sounded computery and nasty..

And Kevin, Schecters are the shit. Most have Seymour Duncan's or EMG 85/81's and are GREAT for metal, 99% of them are beautiful, blah blah blah..
Ibanez's are good for their price as well..
Basically if it has humbuckers, and you have a distortion pedal, you're good to go. Fenders have single coils, which look like this:

(don't get a Floyd Rose bridge unless you're prepared to spend between 10-60 minutes changing strings).. Which is $550, or $500 without the FR trem...

..Or a Damien Elite 8 (http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Schecter-Guitar-Research-Damien-Elite-8String-Electric-Guitar?sku=584542) in the crimson. It's only $50 more, and two extra strings would make for some awesome sweeps and After The Burial covers... But it has no lockdown like the FR system.

I'm torn between the two...

As for distortion pedals, I'd say a DigiTech RP 70 (http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/DigiTech-RP70-Guitar-Multi-Effect-Pedal?sku=153570) or a 155 (http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/DigiTech-RP155-Guitar-Multi-Effects-Pedal?sku=580862), or a specific model, which is cheaper. (I have a DigiTech Death Metal (http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/DigiTech-DDM-Death-Metal-Distortion-Guitar-Effects-Pedal?sku=150835) pedal)
Most are $50-100. A friend sold me his for $30..

If you need an amp, I'd recommend a Crate, they aren't THE best, but they are indeed cheap and reliable, especially the older ones. I found a 60 watt, which is perfect for all local gigs, at my Guitars Plus (local store) for $140..

One of my friends said he would sell me his Ibanez for $350 if I want it but that plus a decent amp seems like a lot of money to spend on something that I don't know if I'll keep playing if it's too hard at first or not.
I would not spend $500 on starting out.. I would say a Laguna Starter Kit (http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Laguna-Ultimate-Rock-Electric-GuitarAmp-Value-Pack?sku=423376) is ideal with the $350 price tag, and you don't need a distortion pedal.

It's actually a good guitar and Line 6's aren't bad to start off with.. Especially with a decent kit this cheap.. You wouldn't need anything larger than a 15 watt amp until you would be playing in public venues, which would at least be 6-15 months and like you said, you may not even stick with it...

That's all of my input on this..

It's not so bad if you're on friendly terms with her. If you're casual friends that are comfortable with each other, then sure. It's no different than Facebook messaging any number of your other friends and asking them to hang out.

If you're currently pining for her from a distance and aren't really casual with each other yet, in-person is your best bet.

I'd assess that you and her aren't that close yet, if you're worried about how each and every little one of your moves would be perceived, but you say that she likes you too and that would imply that you two are pretty close, and that you're just nervous.

Follow your heart, dude. Long story short, it depends on your friendships and comfort levels.

Most of these suggestions are on the money, and it's not difficult to see which ones aren't. I will add though that the first move should at least look spontaneous. You are walking with her, you find something interesting to look at so you grab her by the hand and say something like..."Look! A passed out hobo with a half a bottle of Boons Farm! Let's go kick him and take his hooch!"

Or something. Anyway, the first contact is complete and you are free to put your hand around her shoulder, or whatever, to see where she wants to go with the relationship.

It's really not that difficult to do this. Just takes getting off your ass and doing it.

Those aren't leopard prints. You ever see the really lightweight and breathy shoes that the athletic types such as frequent runners use to keep less weight on their feet and keep the air circulating during high activity? It's like wearing a slightly-thick sock with soles and shoelaces. In essence, a bunch of holes.

My girl and I communicate primarily AIM to AIM, secondarily AIM to SMS, I'm in Afghanistan, shes in the US and just hit legality, and we couldn't be better.

It's entirely possible that your girl has already made up her mind at this point and dragging it out would do little but annoy her and break your heart. However, if the situation DOES turn out salvageable, it wouldn't hurt to go out of your way to speak to her more. A couple in a romantic relationship kind of needs their time together, after all.

So she doesn't have her own phone. If things work well, I suggest calling her House phone from time to time, and maybe setting things up to hang out in person during your free time. Amazing what a simple date her or there could do, even if it's just sitting on the front porch after schools.

Turns out it was just her friend that did that, we're in better shape than ever.

Tonight was the best show ever. Scooby Doo theme song circle pit, getting punched in the jaw in the wall of death, a fat chick broke her ankle in the mosh pit, there's a 2x1 ft hole in the wall and a ceiling tile missing.. It was in a formal meeting room. With a bulletin board with a poster for a religious seminar next weekend..
8 local bands, 3 of which were simply amazing played tonight. I highly suggest checking out Buried Within The Massacre and Jaywalking Is A Felony. I didn't catch the name of the third band.

Great night. That was the best local venue too, and there's no way we can play there again...

Well, i'm glad you asked, 356! While the original intent was to carry on the tradition of carving pumpkins for halloween (and to feed my inner arsonist), i find it fascinating that when one thing faces its death and decay, a whole new bunch of life can suddenly flourish over night and then start leaking shit all over your table and floor.

But, to relate to what i jsut said about one life going and a new one flourishing, i think that begs the question of whether it's fine, or right, to therefore use up all resources at hand in order to flourish as a species, as humans, in order to feed our selfish and indulgent lifestyles. Is it natural and therefore inevitable? Or should one have a "moral conscience" (which is already a subjective idea)?

Oh, the utter complexities of life!

I wish pumpkins were easier to acquire where I live, I haven't carved one in years. Such traditions keep the festive spirit alive, but mine has perished long ago. Spaniards have a weird concept about Halloween. I just wish I can be in the USA during those times at least once in my lifetime to know what it's really like.

The City of townsville San Francisco did. They decided that since Happy Meals entice and seduce children to unhealthy food with the promise of toys, they would ban happy meals if they don't meet a certain nutritional criteria.

Buddy, i barely ever do drugs. I've smoked weed like 3 times spread out over more than a year. I support decriminalization and legalization based on principle of individual liberty.

And is that case still ongoing? I'd heard about it a while back, joined the VGVN and read the first days' proceedings but haven't heard about it being over.

On the subject of the Happy Meal toys in California, I really think it should be up to the Parents whether or not they purchase Happy Meals for their kids just because they want the free 5¢ toys included.

In my head of course! I'm mostly a concept artist, 3D modeler, and level designer, but I do know a bit of C# and C++. The XNA framework uses C# and it's a joint project between me and my friend who knows quite a lot about the C# language.
