Sorry, buddy. You get to go first.

On one message board many years ago there was a large group of us that were very close and many of us remain close to this day. Several of those people (Chuck, Freet, and others) are on this board now, matter of fact.

We had a friend named Zulehan who used to run these threads where he would pick a person and toss their name out there. Members were encouraged to give honest commentary about the person in question, ask the person questions, challenge the person's personal beliefs, and generally speak their mind about them.

The only rule Z ever had was that the thread be constructive in tone and that any negative remarks be something more substantial than "Your mother is a hooker!"

Of course, positive remarks are always encouraged as well. Speak freely, speak from the heart, but speak such that others will be willing to hear what you have to say.

So... Sorry to dime you out, Vmag, but I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me. Let's hear some blatantly honest Vmag subject material for better or for worse. Don't be shy - just be honest.

Vmag does not like revealing details about himself, e.g. face photos, his rank, his name, etc.

He is also nuts. But nuts in a good way, if that's possible.

I haven't been here long enough to gain any real insight on anyone here...yet. :)

As far as Vmag, like most people here though, I like what I see so far. He seems like an intelligent and decent person. I would probably like him more though if he were to...say....buy me a hooker. ;)

Vmag always impressed me from day 1. The way he posted on the Pandemic boards made him an instant and natural leader of the forums over there. He went out of his way to make thoughtful posts that were also playful and funny.

It seemed very friendly and natural for him to be part of that community.

I wanted him to be a mod over there and asked him several times to do so, but he declined each time and I wasn't sure why.

After I left he did finally accept the position and I think I started to figure it out. He is by nature, a prankster - which is fine, but certainly would have conflicted with the way things were done on Pandemic at the time I was still there - except in small and rare ways.

This is pure speculation on my part, but I think Vmag is good at looking at situations and knowing when it's worth salvaging. Something tells me that Vmag looked at the situation on the Pandemic boards and decided it was pretty much going to shit anyway, so he may as well have some fun with people.

That's the sense I get.

Vmag does seem to suffer from the "I need to share but don't want to come right out and say it" syndrome sometimes. I find his answers to direct questions to be cryptic sometimes and meant to either distract or confuse would-be-inquisitors.

Other times the answers are so direct and shocking that it's startling. There are some threads in this forum of that nature. Almost as if he's inviting people to ask more (and this is probably the case) about certain things.

When they don't immediately get more curious, he seems capable of understanding that it's not always a lack of curiosity, but rather that the person may not know how to respond to the situation - which I think Vmag enjoys watching very much.

He's someone that I'd say was inherently fascinated by seeing how people behave at a fundamental level - and he definitely does love to watch people respond to shocking or uncomfortable situations. I do sometimes wonder if his curiosity doesn't get so potent that it leads him into negative situations with those around him, though.

I think he tries to provoke people - not to fight - but to see how they react to certain things, and I think he very much enjoys watching those reactions.

I think he's incredibly fascinated by people - almost to the point of disaster - and that he's probably gotten himself into some pretty deep shit by "tinkering" with people before - and undoubtedly will do so again before all is said and done.

I've noticed this, and it does my head right in. I'm a person who likes an answer, not a riddle.

On the other hand, he helped me alot when i became a mod and would help and answer my questions, so on that level, i respect him and appreciate him alot, and felt he did try and stick up for me on the occassion.

I enjoy video games, though I'm very picky. These days I'm playing myself some Eternal Darkness, after a long stint with Rock Band 2, and there's nothing like the ol' Link's Awakening for the Game Boy.
Blue has traditionally been my favorite colour, but I also find a lot of enjoyment out of greens and reds/oranges. These days the green/red is heavily supported by sexual reasons, but these are also the colours that are best enhanced by grey, cloudy days.

Are you for or against armadillos???
I love armadillos. The first armadillos I ever saw were practically exploded watermelons on the side of a Missouri highway, which at first I mistook for popped basketballs, so I feel for their struggle.
How do you feel about existentialism?
All I know is that the Universe has a mean sense of humor. You can argue day and night about what it means to exist or not exist, but, at the end of the day, the basic fact of the matter is that SOMEONE is getting a kick out of it.

Vmag, do you prefer Frog or Lucca? Did you feel bad at Chrono's death?

Vmag
18-May-09, 12:55
Lucca by far. She was quite good looking, and was quite the personality. I liked Frog, and used to use him a lot, but I find Robo to simply be a lot more useful. For some odd reason, my Robo tends to heal a lot better than Frog does, even if I can't get his magical defense as pumped. As such, I've always been a Chrono-Lucca-Robo man.

As far as Chrono's death, I wasn't too upset. It's a video game, man, from the days when the effort was just a little bit greater. Either there would be a way to repair the situation, which the game revealed just as soon as it happened, or life would have gone on with added reason to succeed.

That is a good question, as I have absolutely no experience with Metal Gear.

Can you give me a general description of some of Snake's best points? Clearly they are both warriors, capable in multiple weapons, who have shown an ability to take on insurmountable odds and numbers, scenarios that most of modern man would easily fall to. Beyond that, I don't think I can accurately get a read off of them.

I must say, he is an interesting one.

I fail to see why everyone would get all butthurt over a few "pranks" he made, enough to the point of making pointless threads on completely different forums to have him removed as a moderator.

The HELL are you doing here?

Just kidding, welcome aboard. I agree with you there, he was a fun moderator, but people get too asshurt over the stuff he does and they were like "Dammit man he sucks kick him out!1"

Then everyone else got asshurt when he did get kicked.

He still has his charm, but it was better when he could ban everybody for a minute or change every letter in the alphabet to "Merry Christmas Alastor!"

My thoughts exactly. There is a fold covering the rest... but would YOU REALLY want online peoples knowing your last name, even if your username involves initials/abbreviations?

AND WE CAN SEE VMAG'S RANK IN EXAMPLE 1! YAY! (Who cares?)

So my wife and I are splitting, by virtue of my falling in love with an under-legal girl. She's a wonderful gal, amazing person all around, and my wife and I have an arrangement that allows it, but it isn't at all fair to either of them to have to share and compete.

Luckily, Kmag has found herself someone that makes her happy as well, and she is now convinced - and eager - to end the currently existing marriage, believing as well for this to be the best and most responsible choice for all of us.
